A mayday call from a camp counselor who was aboard a canoe, with another counselor and seven kids, when the vessel capsized south of Doughty Point on Orcas Island, Wash., July 29, 2016.
A good Samaritan responded and transported all of them to emergency medical personnel waiting on shore at Camp Orika, while a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Bellingham and a Orcas Island Fire and Rescue boat crew assisted in the response effort.
