WHILE SPC STEPHEN DOHERTY REGRETS NOT JOINING THE MILITARY IN HIS TWENTIES OR THIRTIES, HE’S PROVING IT’S NEVER TOO LATE FOR A CHANGE. THIS FORMER INFANTRYMAN IS CURRENTLY ENROLLED AT THE DEFENSE INFORMATION SCHOOL IN THE 46 QUEBEC COURSE TO BECOME A PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE. THE TWELVE-WEEK COURSE TEACHES NEWS AND FEATURE WRITING, PUBLIC AFFAIRS, PHOTOJOURNALISM AND DESKTOP PUBLISHING. ALTHOUGH HE ENJOYS THE CLASS, IT’S NOT QUITE WHAT HE WAS EXPECTING.
