THE BEST MEDIC TEAM COMPETITION WRAPPED UP LAST WEEK AND ONE WINNER, STAFF SERGEANT NOAH MITCHELL SAYS HE DREW INSPIRATION TO WIN FROM THE IDEA THAT HE NEEDS TO BE THE BEST FOR EVERYONE BACK HOME.
"ITS NOT NECESSARILY ABOUT WHAT'S IN FRONT OF YOU OR NOT LIKING WHAT'S IN FRONT OF YOU, BUT ITS ABOUT LOVING WHAT'S BEHIND YOU. AS A COMBAT MEDIC MY ENTIRE JOB AND WHAT MAKES ME DO THIS ARE THOSE PEOPLE. THOSE PEOPLE BACK HOME AND THOSE PEOPLE THAT NEED PEOPLE LIKE ME THAT ARE WILLING TO DO THIS WHILE THEY SACRIFICE IN OTHER WAYS."
TRANSPORTATION STUDENTS FROM THE JAPANESE GROUND DEFENSE FORCE VISITED THE 836TH TRANSPORTATION COMPANY AT YOKOHAMA NORTH DOCK WHERE COMMANDER, LIEUTENANT COLONEL CLYDEA PRITCHARD-BROWN SAYS THE VISIT REENFORCES THE PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE TWO ARMIES.
"I THINK WHAT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING THAT I WANTED THEM TO TAKE AWAY FROM THIS IS THE FACT THAT WE HAVE SUCH A GREAT RELATIONSHIP AND PARTNERSHIP THAT WE OPEN OUR ARMS AND OUR DOORS TO THEM SO THAT THEY CAN SUPPORT THE OVERALL MISSION HERE IN JAPAN AS WELL."
