U-S SOLDIERS ARE PROVIDING A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR A BATTERY OF UKRAINIAN MORTARMEN IN YAVORIV, UKRAINE. FIRST LIEUTENANT CLAIRE VANDERBERG, 6-8 CAVALRY'S PLATOON LEADER, EXPLAINS HER UNIT'S ROLE IN THE TRAINING.
"THIS UNIT IS VERY WELL TRAINED, SO OUR ROLE WE'VE COME MORE INTO AN O-C ROLE, WE OBSERVE, WE ENSURE THAT THEY'RE FIRING SAFELY, SO WE'VE ALL KIND OF COME TOGETHER TO FACILITATE THE TRAINING FOR THIS UNIT."
