THE ARMY HOSTED A FLYING V CEREMONY AT FORT DERUSSY IN HAWAII TO HONOR VETERANS DURING THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ATTACK ON PEARL HARBOR. COMMANDER, U.S. ARMY PACIFIC LIEUTENANT GENERAL ROBERT BROWN, RECOGNIZED SOLDIERS' RESILIENCY IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE ATTACK.
"SO TODAY AS WE GATHER TO COMMEMORATE THE SERVICE OF SOLDIERS WHO ANSWERED THE CALL, NOT ONLY ON DECEMBER 7TH, 194, BUT WE ALSO GATHER TO COMMEMORATE THE SERVICE OF THOSE SOLDIERS WHO DELIVERED COUNTLESS CONTRIBUTIONS IN THE MONTHS AND YEARS THAT FOLLOWED."
THERE'S ONLY A COUPLE OF DAYS LEFT TO SEND YOUR PACKAGES FROM OVERSEAS TO THE STATES IF YOU WANT THEM TO MAKE IT IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS. REGIONAL POST OFFICE POSTMASTER FOR KAISERSLAUGHTERN, JAMES WILLIAMS, EXPLAINS THE MAILING DEADLINES.
"SOME OF THE DEADLINES HAS PASSED ALREADY, BUT WE STILL HAVE THE 10TH OF DECEMBER TO GET ALL THE FIRST CLASS AND PRIORITY OUT AND THE 17TH OF DECEMBER FOR EXPRESS MAIL."
