    A hoax caller somewhere between Seaside, Ore., and Chinook, Wash., relays a false distress call to the Coast Guard during fall 2016.

    The hoax caller has made 22 false distress calls since April 2016, and the Coast Guard is seeking the public's help in finding the person making the illegal calls.
