IN LATVIA, AS A PART OF OPERATION ATLANTIC RESOLVE, U.S. ARMY PARATROOPERS OF THE 173RD AIRBORNE BRIGADE PROVIDED SUPPORT FOR A COMBINED ARMS LIVE FIRE EXERCISE OR CALFEX. PRIVATE JACOB HOLDEN DESCRIBES THEIR USE OF MORTARS AND ANTI TANK MISSLES TO ASSIST.
"IN THE CALFEX HERE IN THE MORTAR SECTION WHAT WE DO IS PROVIDE INDIRECT FIRE TO SUPPORT THE MANUEVERING COMPANIES TO ASSIST THEM IN THEIR MISSIONS."
ARMY RESERVE JUMPMASTERS ALONG WITH SOLDIERS FROM BOTSWANA CAME TOGETHER AT FORT BRAGG NORTH CAROLINA FOR THE 19TH ANNUAL OPERATION TOY DROP, WHICH, ACCORDING TO SERGEANT FIRST CLASS CHRISTOPHER GAUGER, ALLOWS SOLDIERS TO TRAIN FOR AIRBORNE OPERATIONS.
