General Robert Neller, the Commandant of the Marine Corps, revealed that the Marine Corps is finding a way to fire anti-ship cruise missiles out of existing Marine Corps artillery equipment, giving Marines the capability of engaging enemy ships from the shore.

More than 600 Marines with 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing and 1st Marine Division conducted Exercise Sea Horse Wind, the largest long raid exercise in 14 years as part Steel Knight 2017. During the exercise, 3rd MAW Marines trained with ground troops and infantry Marines participated in a large-scale mission similar to the ones executed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Lt Col. Rafael Candelario of 3rd MAW explains the importance of the training.
