Marines with 3rd Marine Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, participated in an endurance course at the Jungle Warfare Training Center in Okinawa, Japan, January 15th. The course tests 3/3 Marine's will, stamina and ability to work together as a team in a jungle enviornment, ensuring they are prepared for crisis response and theater security operations in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

Marines with 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group conducted a Tactical Fuel System training exercise at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, January 14th. The exercise was designed to enhance the Marine's proficiency by operating the fuel system in a deployed field environment.

The 26th Marine Regiment killed more than 100 North Vietnamese enemies as the second Battle for Khe Sanh, during the Vietnam War, began.
