U.S. Marines along with other regional-partner nations, kicked off Exercise Cobra Gold 18 in the Kingdom of Thailand, January 24th. Cobra Gold is a recurring multinational-multiservice exercise hosted annually by Thailand, designed to advance regional security by exercising a robust multinational force from nations sharing security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region.
Over in Europe,
Marines from the Black Sea Rotational Force and 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit participated in the Swedish Basic Winter Warfare Course in in Arvidsjaur, Sweden, January 22nd. The course helped to improve their tactical winter-warfare skills.
Also in the Corps,
Marine Aircraft Rescue Firefighters with Marine Wing Support Squadrons 372, 373, and 374, conducted a fire training exercise at Camp Pendleton, California, January 24th.
