Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Glenn Walters testified on the current readiness of the Marine Corps at a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee's subcommittee on readiness, February 14th. Gen. Walters had this to say:
SB: "With your commitment and continued support we will move forward with our responsibility to ensure your Marine Corps is organized, manned, trained and equipped, and postured to protect our fellow Americans, assure our allies and deter and defeat any adversary."
Part 2:
Also in the Corps, Commanding General of III Marine Expeditionary Force, Lt. Gen. Lawrence Nicholson, visited Marines with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment aboard USS Bonhomme Richard, off the coast of Thailand, February 14th. 3/3 Marines, along with U.S. Sailors and Thai troops, are currently participating in Exercise Cobra Gold 2018.
