Marines with Marines Forces Reserve took part in the Zulu Parade during Mardi Gras in New Orleans, Feb. 13th. The Marines participation highlighted their military presence in the New Orleans area and their support for community outreach events.
Also in the Corps,
U.S and Royal Thai Marines conducted helocast training from a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter Feb. 12th in the Kingdom of Thailand.
Capt. Robert Handley, a CH-53E pilot who took part in the training, said, "What an evolution like this does, it allows us to strengthen the bonds of friendship that we have between the United States as well as Thailand."
The training is part of Exercise Cobra Gold 2018, an annual exercise conducted in the Kingdom of Thailand. This year the exercise started Feb.13 and will conclude Feb. 23.
