U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment conducted jungle survival training Feb. 17th in the Kingdom of Thailand as part of exercise Cobra Gold 18. Cobra Gold is an annual exercise conducted in the Kingdom of Thailand. This year the exercise started Feb.13th and will conclude Feb. 23rd.

The Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. Robert B. Neller visisted Marines Feb. 19th in the Kingdom of Thailand as part of Cobra Gold. During his visit, Gen. Neller observed training, dicussed joint-training and readiness with Royal Thai Marine leadership and addressed Marines about his latest Message to the Force.
On this day in Marine Corps History in 1991,
Marine Attack Squadron 331 conducted the first combat missions with the AV-8B Harrier, operating from the USS Nassau during the Gulf War.
