I'm Corporal Bryce Hodges with your Marine Minute.
A detachment of F-35B Lightning IIs with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, have landed on USS Wasp. Their landing marks the historic beginning of the F-35B's first operational deployment. The F-35B combines the 5th Generation fighter characteristics of radar-evading stealth, supersonic speed, fighter agility and advanced logistical support with the most powerful and comprehensive integrated sensor package of any fighter aircraft in history, providing unprecedented capability. This F-35 variant fills a multi-mission role, enabling combatant commanders with enhanced strategic ability, operational flexibility, and tactical supremacy.
