I'm Corporal Bryce Hodges with your Marine Minute.
Marines and sailors with India Company, Battalion Landing Team 3/1, and the BLT tank platoon, conducted tank and infantry integration training at Twentynine Palms, California, March 3.The training enables the Marines to learn about each others strengths and weaknesses helping create a stronger unit cohesion. Realistic Urban Training is a Marine Expeditionary Unit exercise that provides the opportunity to integrate individual and unit level skills allowing an increase in overall proficiency when facing unknown challenges and enviorments. Exercises such as these use a realistic approach in order to help Marines and sailors prepare for deployment in urban environments.
Also in the Corps,
In 1991, Congress passed Public Law 101-418 proclaiming March as Irish-American Heritage Month. It is meant as a tribute to the achievements and contributions of Irish immigrants and their descendants living in the United States.
