I'm Lance Corporal Dylon Grasso with your Marine Minute.
Part 1:
Marines participate in the 5th annual High Intensity Tactical Training Tactical Athlete Championship at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia September 9th. Marines competed at their home installations for the chance to participate in the championship, but only thirty-eight of the top male and female winners were invited to Quantico, along with wildcard athletes. Over the next four days, Marines from all over the Corps compete to become the Ultimate Tactical Champion by testing their speed, agility, power, strength, and endurance. This year's championship emphasizes the tactical focus of the High Intensity Tactical Training program and incorporates a live-fire fitness event, combat swim, and pugil stick bouts. The first High Intensity Tactical Training Championship the Marine Corps held was at Camp Pendleton, California in 2015.
