McPhillips, Commanding General, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, flies an F-35B Lightning II Aircraft for his final flight at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, Feb. 24, 2021. McPhillips, qualified to fly the AV-8B Harrier II Aircraft, F-5N Aircraft, and F-35B Lightning II Aircraft, conducted his final flight with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 before he departs 1st MAW this summer.
