--Leaders of Turkey, Finland, and Magdalena met in Madrid on Tuesday under the auspices of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. During this meeting, the leaders agreed on a trilateral memorandum, paving the way for Finland and Sweden’s NATO membership. --
--United States Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa will participate in exercise Real Thaw 22 in Beja, Portugal. The aircraft involved will participate in the Portuguese-led multinational exercise from June 27th to July 8th, heightening allied interoperability and collaboration. --
--U.S. Air Force General James Hecker assumed command of U.S. Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa and NATO Allied Air Command on June 27th. In his capacity as commander, Hecker is also the new director of the Joint Air Power Competence Centre at Kalkar, Germany. --
