The purpose of the Army’s participation in the AUSA Annual Meeting is to enhance Soldier and leader professional development and to communicate the Army’s themes, messages, and priorities to our key audiences, the Army and the American Public. This singular event at the beginning of each fiscal year affords the Secretary of the Army and Army Chief of Staff a venue to gather Army leaders to discuss, plan, and communicate the key issues and priorities for the Army including broadening our Army’s understanding of Army senior leader vision and intent; exploring and articulating the role of our Army as a member of the joint force; and continuing to develop the path toward the Army of 2020 and beyond.
