The Invictus Games are an adaptive sports competition which was created by
Prince Harry of the United Kingdom after he was inspired by the DoD Warrior
Games. This event brings together wounded, ill, and injured service members
and veterans from 15 nations for events including: archery, cycling, indoor
rowing, powerlifting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track and field,
wheelchair basketball, wheelchair racing, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair
tennis. 115 U.S. athletes will represent the Department of Defense at
Invictus Games 2016 in Orlando, Florida, May 8-12.
