The Army-Navy Game is a football game played against the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis.
This began when Cadet Dennis Mahan Michie accepted a challenge by a group of midshipmen to a pickup football game between Navy and the newly-formed West Point team. The two teams met for the first time at West Point on November 29, 1890. The game has come to embody the spirit of the interservice sports rivalry of the United States Armed Forces.
This year marks the 120th Army-Navy game. The game scripts the end of the college football regular season and the third and final game of the season's Commander-in-Chief's Trophy series. show less
