U.S Northern Command in coordination with the U.S. Air Force Acquisition directorate is conducting a series of technology demonstrations to detect/track/ID and simulated kill of ground and air-launched subsonic cruise missiles. These demonstrations will federate an all-domain awareness of ground and air-based cruise missile launch threats through fusion of Navy, Army, and Air Force sensor data populated in a unified data library, dataONE. Addressing the Air Force Association’s 2020 Virtual Air, Space and Cyber conference, Sept. 15, Dr. Will Roper, assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisition, technology and logistics, heralded the need for acquisition agility through digital engineering to disrupt the nation’s adversaries.
