On Jan. 23, 2017, Air Education and Training Command celebrates its 75th anniversary. This is a date much more important in our nation’s heritage than a simple mark in time. Jan. 23, 1942, proved to be the birth of a professional Air Force when men and women were precisely selected and trained to fly, fight and win our nation’s wars. <br />

AETC takes America’s sons and daughters, young men and women who have volunteered to serve their country in difficult times, and forges them into professional Airmen. Developing our Airmen means more than educating or training them, it means that we teach them to embrace our culture and lead them by example.
The Air Education and Training Command is a vital piece of the United States Air Force. Its mission is to recruit, educate, and train today’s Airmen to keep our Air Force mission ready.
