AMISTAD (Spanish for friendship) brings U.S. military health professionals together with partner nation medical teams to train together and relieve stress on overtaxed host nation medical systems. This 12th Air Force (Air Forces Southern) led mission delivers valuable experiences to U.S. and partner nation medical professionals while increasing their ability to quickly work together in emergency situations. The Ministry of Health and hospital directors are partnering with the mission to align the specialties of participating U.S. physicians and technicians with the needs of patients in the area. This AMISTAD mission will be conducted in Paraguay, 14 July - 10 Aug. 2024.
