Aero India is a trade and air show conducted with the support of the Sec. of Defense for Policy and USPACOM. 635 aerospace companies from the United States, India and other countries including delegates from 42 countries are participating in the five-day aerospace exhibition. The air show portion will include PACAF and SOCPAC demonstrations and displays. More than 40 U.S. Air Force Airmen are supporting Aero India 2017 along with one C-130J Super Hercules from the 143rd Airlift Wing, Rhode Island Air National Guard; and two F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa AB, Japan.
U.S. aircraft, crew and support personnel, as well as members of the Department of State and other U.S. representatives returned home this week after a strong showing at Aero India 2017 at Air Force Station Yelahanka, India Feb. 20.
