Exercise Ample Strike is an annual exercise designed to increase proficiency levels for all forward air controllers and joint terminal air controllers, as well as to improve standardization and interoperability among NATO allies and partners. Units will be forward deployed to multiple locations in Europe to conduct day and night operations improve NATO allies and partner nation interoperability.
B-52 Stratofortress aircraft, Reserve Citizen Airmen and support equipment assigned to the 307th Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, arrived at RAF Fairford, England, to participate in exercise Ample Strike 19, the U.K. Weapons School exercise Cobra Warrior, and NATO Days.
KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft assigned to the 155th Air Refueling Wing, Nebraska Air National Guard arrived at Pardubice Air Base, Czech Republic for Ample Strike 19: a Czech Republic-led exercise with aircraft and participants conducting day and night operations to improve NATO and partner nation interoperability.
