ARCTIC EAGLE is a homeland security and emergency response exercise operating throughout the state of Alaska, hosted by the Alaska National Guard. ARCTIC EAGLE provides training opportunities for national, state and local agencies to participate in sustained operations in the extreme cold-weather conditions found in Arctic environments. Images and videos will be posted here throughout the exercise and on the Alaska National Guard Facebook page at Caution-https://www.facebook.com/AlaskaNationalGuard. If you have a media request, please contact the JFHQ-AKNG Public Affairs Office at (907) 428-6031.
The Colorado National Guard's Special Forces Battalion sent cooks and containerized kitchen to Alaska to provision troops at the Donnelly Training Area during Arctic Eagle 2018. The kitchen, or CK, is designed to support soldiers in all weather conditions, but extreme cold creates other challenges for feeding troops.
