Based on the Strategies for the Arctic Circle Region of the President of the United States, Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Coast Guard, and Canada. ARCTIC EAGLE 2020 (AE20) is an unclassified Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) exercise series with the intent to support partner nation and national guard participant’s training requirements. With U.S. national interests and DoD activities in the arctic region focusing on securing, defending, partnering, planning, and enhancing capability, AE20 is an opportunity for National Guard states to participate in high-level training opportunities and support the global challenges remote locations and extreme cold weather pose to the Joint Force. A mission readiness generation and civil support opportunity meeting specific, tailored, training objectives of the participating organizations, AE20 operates under the exercise working group of the National Guard Arctic Interest Council (NGAIC). show less
