Arctic Warrior 21 is a cold weather training event that includes airborne operations, situational training exercises (STX), and a live fire exercise, all occurring from Feb. 8-19, in both the Donnelly Training Area and Richardson Training Area. A battalion task force that includes cavalry, engineer, and sustainment units for support, will conduct an airborne insertion to Donnelly Drop Zone and face a near peer opposition force supplied by 4-25 IBCT (ABN). The exercise validates the brigade's ability to rapidly deploy a battalion-sized force and conduct near peer operations in an Arctic environment. 4-25 IBCT (ABN) battalions will also conduct winter field training and STXs across the Richardson Training Area.
