AWA 17.1 is a four-phased event that culminates in a live exercise at Fort Bliss, Texas. Phases 0 and I (June-August 2016): TRADOC deployed three Multi-Discipline Assessment Teams (MDATs) to the USARPAC AOR to examine AWFC's in a Pacific Pathways exercise to observe select concepts and capabilities. Phases 2 and 3 (17-28 October 2016): AWA 17.1 incorporates a live tactical training operation scenario with a Pacific area of operation. AWA 17.1 includes select Joint participation from Marine, Air Force and Special Operation units and also includes five Multinational partners (United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Denmark and Italy) . show less
