The Continuum of Learning is a label for a new learning paradigm for the United States Air Force. Included in this paradigm are: modularized learning that is made available to Airmen across their careers rather than in concentrated, episodic opportunities; on-command and on- demand learning, meaning Airmen will receive the learning opportunities the Air Force requires but also be afforded opportunities to learn about topics specific to their individual learning needs and desired; competency-based learning, meaning an outcomes-focused approach that credentials Airmen with the skills and knowledge they have demonstrated in performance; and a Master Airman Learning Record that tracks all developmental initiatives.
If you’re looking to grow as a leader, consider enrolling in one of AETC’s free DigitalU Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Education and Training Courses. Any Airman—active duty, reserve, guard or civilian—can enroll in one of the 22 online courses specifically designed for people-focused leaders.
Air Education and Training Command is taking a different look at how people learn and hopes to make a more efficient path for pilots to earn their wings through the Pilot Training Next initiative.
