Cutlass Express is one of three African regional Express series exercises sponsored by U.S. Africa Command and enabled by U.S. 6th Fleet. Through CE 25, U.S. forces work alongside participating nations to improve combined maritime law enforcement capacity, promote national and regional security in the Eastern and Southern Africa and Indian Ocean region, and increase interoperability between the U.S., African, and multinational partners. The U.S. routinely exercises with our partners in Africa to build enduring relationships and combined capacity to ensure the safety and security of the regional maritime environment.
Police Sgt. Prathibha Shamar Gajadhur, who grew up in a modest household, fulfilled her dream of serving in a uniformed role by joining the Mauritius Police Force and National Coast Guard.
