Department of the Air Force National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)
The observance of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is established by Public Law and Presidential Proclamation. NDEAM is observed from 1-31 October each year. The awareness event is observed so that Americans may reaffirm commitment to ensuring equal opportunity for all citizens and so that they may pay tribute to the accomplishments of people with disabilities who contributed, continue to contribute, and wish to contribute to making the nation's economy strong.

In recognition of the important role people with disabilities play in a diverse and inclusive American workforce, the theme for NDEAM 2022 is “Disability: Part of the Equity Equation.” NDEAM celebrates the contributions of America’s workers with disabilities past and present and showcases supportive, inclusive employment policies and practices.
The Disability Action Team (DAT)'s sub-theme for 2022 is "Disability is the 'D' in Diversity. This page is to provide awareness, spark discussions, share information and resources, and promote the recruitment and retention of people with disabilities.
