    June 6, 2015 marks the 71st anniversary of D-Day, one of world history’s watershed moments. Mayors and civic leaders of the French Normandy region, through the U.S. Embassy in Paris, have requested U.S. participation in ceremonies to commemorate the D-Day landings and subsequent liberation of surrounding communities.
