U.S. Army Europe will host the 2017 European Best Sniper Squad Competition at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Sept. 24-28, 2017. The mentally and physically challenging four-day competition, with more than 30 events, will test multinational sniper squads on land navigation, advanced marksmanship, medical simulations and more. The European Best Sniper Squad Competition is designed to project a dynamic presence, foster military partnership and promote NATO interoperability. Participating countries include Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The U.S. Army Europe competition, organized by the 7th Army Training Command, was the second European Best Sniper Squad competition to take place in the Grafenwoehr Training Area. Sixteen squads from across Europe competed alongside two U.S. military teams in a series of events, Sept. 24 to 28.
