Exercise Marara 22 is a Multinational Operation in the South Pacific, at the operational level, under the French-led Combined Joint Task Force Headquarters (CJTFHQ). This Joint exercise will take on an international dimension and bring together many partners from the Pacific region. It aims to maintain and deepen cooperation in the context of a multinational disaster relief operation, planned and conducted by Armed Forces in French Polynesia (AFFP), in its permanent area of responsibility. The scenarios within the exercise will train the HQ and Land Component Command, the Maritime Component Command (MCC), air Component Operational and tactical levels in a multinational environment.
Exercise Marara 22 is scheduled from 7 – 22 May 2022, French Polynesia, Tahiti. The CPX location will be on the island of Tahiti. The FTX locations include the islands of Raiatea and Huahine. The Forces Integration (FIT) will take place in Tahiti, French Polynesia, French Armed Forces will do mil-to-mil operations with the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps. show less
