REGIONAL COOPERATION 2017 (RC 17) is a multilateral U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) command-post exercise, held in conjunction with regional partners from Central and South Asia. Tajikistan will lead this year’s exercise, which will take place 10-23 July in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. More than 200 personnel and observers from the U.S., Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and Pakistan will participate in the exercise, which is hosted by the Tajikistan Minister of Defense. The U.S. and Central and South Asian nations have been involved in the annual RC series since 2001; RC 16 was held 16-28 September 2016, in Massachusetts.
