Airmen assigned to the 5th and 2nd Bomb Wings participate in Global Thunder 22, an annual U.S. Strategic Command exercise at Minot Air Force Base, N.D. Airmen and aircraft from the 2nd Bomb Wing at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, flew to Minot and integrated with 5th Bomb Wing personnel as an iteration of the exercise, implementing Airmen from various functional backgrounds holistically and demonstrating the bomber fleet’s ability to respond to combatant command requirements.
