Soldiers assigned to 3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division are taking part in a platoon exchange with the Indonesian Army in order to strengthen the partnership between the two nations militaries.
After the required two weeks of COVID-19 restriction of movement, Tropic Lightning Soldiers who arrived in Indonesia will spend approximately two weeks training on mountaineering, jungle operations, wildlife identification and medical treatment. Likewise, the Indonesian Soldiers arriving in Hawaii will conduct counter-improvised explosive device training, mobility and survival training and Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT) after completing their required COVID-19 restriction of movement.
The purpose of the training is to facilitate the observation of both armies so as to exchange subject matter expertise on topics of mutual interest and build upon the pre-existing relationship between both. show less
