The 2nd Annual Fort Benning Infantry Week celebrates the U.S. Army Infantry with a series of competitions. The week kicks off April 8, 2019, with the Best Mortar Competition and the Lacerda Cup, and finishes with the David E. Grange Jr. Best Ranger Competition.

The Best Mortar Competition, hosted by the 1st Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, is scheduled to take place April 9 through 11, 2019. Twenty-one four-man teams from around the world will compete in a gauntlet of rigorous physical and mental events that test the range of mortar skills to win the title of Best Mortar Team.
The Lacerda Cup, an annual all-Army combatives tournament, is scheduled to return to Fort Benning, Georiga, for it's second year April 9 through 12, 2019. Soldiers will compete in individual sparring events and team events to determine who are the Army's best combatives practitioners.
The David E. Grange Jr. Best Ranger Competition is a three-day competition that pits the military’s best two-man Ranger teams against each other as they compete for the title of Best Rangers. The 2019 Best Ranger Competition is scheduled to take place at various locations across Fort Benning, Georgia, April 12 through 14 with an award ceremony April 15. show less
