U.S. forces with 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and U.S. Navy's 7th Fleet conducted a large-scale joint rehearsal of tactics and carried out simulated strikes on naval targets off the coast of Okinawa. The purpose of this joint maritime strike rehearsal was to practice tactics, techniques, and procedures for delivering air-delivered strikes against targets at sea. Events like this ensure that we remain ready to exercise sea control and sea denial in defense of a free and open Indo-Pacific and in support of our coalition of allies and partners in the region.
