On February 29, the White House launches the first National Week at the Labs in conjunction with the White House Council on Women and Girls (CWG) and My Brother's Keeper (MBK) to bring together scientists, engineers, and lab workers to engage students, especially those in underserved communities, in STEM related activities. Throughout the week, nearly 70 National Labs in more than 20 states, including Defense Labs, will open their facilities to thousands of youth from nearby neighborhoods, including the more than 200 Communities that have accepted the MBK Community Challenge nationwide. Students will participate in a variety of activities including mentoring sessions, experiments, and exhibits.
