For the first time in Marine Corps history, a group of female recruits were trained aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego as part of an integrated company. Lima Company completed their Crucible on April 21, 2021 and held their graduation on May 6, 2021. Marine Corps recruit training spans 13 weeks and covers marksmanship training, drill, basic combat skills and Marine Corps customs and traditions.
