An agency of the Executive Branch of the U.S. Federal Government, ABMC oversees 21 U.S. World War I (WWI)and WWII cemeteries in Europe and has requested U.S. military participation in its in-person Memorial Day ceremonies 25-27 May 2024.
The USEUCOM priority for Memorial Day 2024 U.S. military participation is to the seven (07) cemeteries ABMC has designated focus cemeteries this year, as follows: Aisne-Marne American Cemetery (AC)(AMAC), France; Ardennes AC (ARAC), Belgium; Cambridge AC (CAAC), UK; Florence AC (FLAC), Italy; Netherlands AC (NEAC), Netherlands; Normandy AC (NOAC), France; and Oise-Aisne AC (OAAC), France.
2024 is the key year for the 80th anniversary of World War II (WWII 80). Hence, USEUCOM will also prioritize support to Memorial Day ceremonies at ABMC WWII cemeteries. show less
