Members from the North Carolina National Guard and North Carolina’s Governor’s and Agricultural Offices joins members from the Republics of Zambia and Malawi for State Partnership Signing (SPP) Ceremonies. The two separate ceremonies were held in the respective countries of Zambia, April 26, 2024, and Malawi, April 27, 2024. The State Partnership Program is the cornerstone of our international engagement efforts. The SPP strengthens bonds between the State of North Carolina, the North Carolina National Guard, and our partner nations, including the Republic of Moldova, and the Republic of Botswana. This program has built enduring relationships based on mutual respect, cooperation, and a shared commitment to global security and stability. The SPP has forged bonds of friendship that have transcend borders and cultures, fostering collaboration and solidarity in the face of common challenges. The ceremonies are acknowledgements that the NCNG will use these same principles as ways to develop relationships with their newest partners, the Republic of Malawi and the Republic of Zambia.
Through the SPP, North Carolina has collaborated on a wide range of military and civilian initiatives. Military cooperation includes joint training exercises, personnel exchanges, and capacity-building programs aimed at enhancing interoperability and readiness. These activities not only strengthen the NCNG's capabilities but also contribute to the professional development of partner nation forces, promoting regional security and stability. show less
