U.S. Army Cadet Command suspended its normal Cadet Summer Training program due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, the command has developed a detailed plan to train and certify ROTC Cadets that did not attend Advanced Camp this summer on the required pre-commissioning tasks normally conducted during CST.
Operation Agile Leader (OAL) ensures ROTC Mission Set (MS) 21 Cadets are fully qualified to begin the second phase of the Army’s Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC)-B and succeed in their first units of assignment.
Operation Agile Leader trains the core skills and competencies Cadets would have practiced at Fort Knox through on-campus training throughout the fall and spring semesters, and longer and more rigorous field training exercises each semester.
OAL also ensures our rising juniors who would have attended Basic Camp this summer are provided an additional program of instruction on-campus to qualify them for their MSIII Level classes.
Operation Agile Leader combines quality instruction and additional resourced training at the program level to ensure our MS IIIs and MS IVs complete all tasks required of the ROTC curriculum.
The command will continue to focus on the health, welfare and safety of our Soldiers, civilians, Cadets during this operation.\; Operation Agile Leader provides flexibility to subordinate commanders to adjust training events and schedules to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. show less
