PATRIOT is a DOMOPS training exercise sponsored by the National <br />
Guard Bureau and accredited by the Joint National Training Capability Program. <br />
This annual event focuses on increasing the understanding of coordination, policies, and procedures required in conducting a Joint Inter-Agency domestic response. It also provides a forum for coordination with local, State and Federal civilian organizations.
Throughout the PATRIOT exercise there has been one common theme present that stresses the importance of the overall exercise. Cooperation between military and civilian agencies is critical to the success of any domestic operation. PATRIOT is an annual exercise held at Volk Field to test the National Guard’s capabilities and develop working relationships with first responders and government agencies.
