Exercise STEPPE EAGLE 2018 (SE 18) is an annual, multi-lateral exercise sponsored by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and executed by United States Central Command (USCENTCOM). The exercise enhances coalition interoperability and operational readiness, promotes regional access and security, and improves military cooperation. Exercise SE 18 emphasizes and refines Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) and Peace Support Operations (PSO) tactics, techniques and procedures at the brigade and battalion level, while supporting Kazakhstan’s NATO Evaluation 1 Certification.
Steppe Eagle, a multi-national exercise, executed by U.S. Army Central with support from the Arizona Army National Guard and the South Carolina Army National Guard, United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Tajikistan took place at McCrady Training Center, South Carolina, Aug. 10-20.
