The Talisman Sabre series is the principal Australian-U.S. bilateral military training activity, focused on mid-intensity, high-end warfighting. Exercise Talisman Sabre 2021 (TS21) will be the ninth iteration of the exercise. Talisman Sabre is a single-phase exercise that includes operational and tactical level training on Combined Force Entry Operation (CFEO), culminating in a Combined Joint Amphibious Operation. The exercise will use a mid-to-high intensity conflict with opposing Joint Task Force (JTF) operating across all domains.
