In the face of evolving global threats, the Air National Guard's Deployment for Training (DFT) exercise, Toxic Swell, stands as a crucial pillar in strengthening the interoperability and readiness of U.S. forces in the Indo-Pacific region. The exercise, held over two weeks on the island of Oahu, brought together a diverse group of military personnel from the Air National Guard, United States Marine Corps, and international partners, with a singular focus: to enhance Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defense capabilities through rigorous, joint-force training.
